Today is a little strange.  I had some comp time built up at work and had to take it.  I went in from 8:15-10 and then came home.  It feels like I’m skipping school!

This morning I ate a banana with chocolate pb in the middle.

I did laundry, cleaned the fridge and freezer out and picked up around the house.  Whew did my refrigerator need to be cleaned out.   I also checked all of the expiration dates and cleaned out things that were close to expiring.

At 12:30 I stopped and made lunch.

A turkey sandwich on TJ’s high fiber bread with roasted turkey and muenster cheese.

My bananas were on their last leg so I peeled and chopped them up.  I put them in the freezer to use for smoothies later.

Sorry I have been MIA for 2 days, the cold caught up to me and I have been feeling blah lately.  So here is a recap:

I went to work and then to a bridal shower (at work) and then out for margaritas. Whew, it was a busy day.  The bridal shower was so cute!  It was princess themed.  Our music teacher at work is getting married in June.  She is a very sweet girl and I couldn’t be happier for her.  Also, I won two games!  I won a sticker book and cute magnetic notepad and then a candle from Ulta.

There was a princess castle cake.  It was huge and so were the pieces.  I only ate about half of mine.  It was pretty rich.  Then my coworker and I went out for margaritas and twisted chips (not pictured appetizer).

It is getting to be the end of the year and we are getting excited about the summer.  So of course, margaritas were in order.  Then I brought the hubby home some cake and of course I ate some more of it.  Cake for dinner? Oh well, moving on.

Side Note: Speaking of candles…I love love love them.  Yankee Candles are my favorite.   We went into the Yankee Candle store after dinner and I got a cute candle holder for my desk at work.  It is a bee which is perfect because our mascot is a bee.

I bought “Dune Grass” tealights to put in it.  I also bought a “Sweet Honeysuckle” candle (the smell is heavenly!) and “Ocean Blossom.”  I have a beach themed guest bathroom so it will probably go in there.  I could stay in that store forever trying to make a decision!  Apparently I was taking too long because the husband went and found a bench to sit on.

Last night we ate at Kanki Japanese Steakhouse.  It is one of those places with the dinner show.  The chef does cute things like the “volcano” where he layers rings of onions and lights the top on fire and he drops the butter from up in the air and says “butterfly” – get it?  I love corny stuff like that.

At Kanki we both got the steak special and bogo sushi.  I love sushi and I am so glad I introduced Brandon to it.  It is just one of those foods you have to try.  I could eat it every day. We got the deep sea roll and the volcano roll.  Spicyyyyy! And so good!

Today was a lot better.  This dreary weather still kills me, but I think I am over my bad mood.  Work was good today.  We went shopping after work to the school supplies store and took too long! Before I knew it, it was 6 and closing time for them.

My stomach knew it was time to go home.  It was growling like no one’s business.  So tonight was definitely take out night.  It’s usually Thursdays, but I go home so late I switched it this week.  I got gas on the way home and some Taco Bell. 

I got a Fresco Ranchero Chicken Soft taco and a fresco crunchy taco.

Total: 905 + muffin top which was probably a million calories! I have been feeling pretty full lately and not eating a lot of calories.  I think it’s the weather and my congested chest.  I have got to eat more because I am working out so much! I am thinking of making a trip to the local farmer’s market this weekend.  Gotta stop eating so much junk and get some local veggies!

Dude.  I was in a badddd mood today.  I swear this rainy weather has put me in a funk.  It has been raining since Friday on and off.  More on than off.  I am over it.  I am thankful that it is helping my plants, but geez. 

Back up to last night.  I had a chocolate covered strawberry from the husband’s grandma.  It had a lot of condensation from the refrigerator so I only had one.  It takes a lot for me not to eat more than one chocolate anything, so it had to be just meh for me to stop.  If you don’t like it, why eat it?  It’s a waste of calories!

On to today.  It was definitely a two cup of coffee kind of day.  It still didn’t pull me out of my funk. Hopefully I’ll be in a better mood tomorrow.

Like the nail color?  I painted them during the recap of LOST last night.  It’s OPI Cajun Shrimp.  Very summery.

This morning I woke up with a little chest congestion so I chugged some Amazing Grass before Body Pump.  Soymilk is a lot less heavy on your stomach than regular milk so I went for it.  Normally I wouldn’t have something like soymilk before a gym class, but Amazing Grass is best mixed with it.  It’s all for an immune system boost right?

Dinner was a whatever kind of night. The husband had a totino’s pizza and I made a sandwich.  My parents brought me this big tomato from a farmer’s market on their way to visit us.

I ate one of these chips with some homemade salsa.  The salsa was mushy after a few days and I threw it out.  Yuck. I only ate one chip.

I was still hungry so I ate a 100 cal.bag of popcorn while watching 24.

Total Calorie Count today: 1385 and subtract 600+ for Body Pump.  Looks like I need to eat more calories.  Usually, that is no problem!
